SHANGRILA ADVENTURE eNewsletter - June2012

devotee outside Jokhang temple

Dear Friends,

Tashi Delek!  (greetings from 3650m Lhasa Tibet)

In April issue, we featured our most popular QingHai-Tibet Train Tour + Mount Everest base camp.
As you may have seen our updates on our Facebook page by now, Tibet has imposed new restrictions that need min. 6pax for foreign groups (4pax to go rule was already an outdated information since mid-May).

We are currently in Tibet with our cycling expedition as well as 2 other groups that is doing the normal sight-seeing train tour & Mount Everest base camp journey.  More groups are due to arrive in the months ahead till Oct.

If you would like to travel to Tibet but could not find enough people, do contact us as we have confirmed departures that are still open for participation.

1) Updates on : Tibet to Nepal Cycling Expedition Jun2012
We are all set & ready to go!

Our team of cyclists, photography enthusiats, and those simply joining in for the fun & experience will arrive to Lhasa, the capital of Tibet on 04June.
This year marks the biggest cycling group so far to embark on this beautiful journey from Tibet to Nepal, crossing The Himalayas range, along the friendship highway into the Nepali capital of Kathmandu.
The group is also privileged to be the first to use our brand new fleet of GIANT mountain bikes, and logistical support that involves 2x 17-seater aircon mini-bus & a truck.

We will reach the base camp of Mount Everest (Tibet north face) on 11Jun, cycling all the way to the 5200m monument.

If you are keen to follow us on the group's journey,  do Like Us and view our regular
postings/updates/trip photos up at our Facebook page ShangrilaAdventure.Outdoors.
